Postcards From Paris

This series is painted in acrylic on 24x18 wood panels.  For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with all things french. Visiting Paris was always a dream of mine. When I was a teenager, I had black and white posters on my wall of the Eiffel Tower, and a collection of books and photos of Paris. That was the start of my admiration for black and white photography. I love the way they capture a moment, making it feel like time is standing still in that very spot, just waiting for me to walk right into it.  These paintings are inspired by my trip to Paris and my lifelong romanticism with the city, reflected in black and white to represent the old postcards and posters I collected of Paris as a kid.
